Dr. Sung Hyon Han is a board-certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon. He provides expert care in dentoalveolar surgery, dental implants, orthognathic surgery, maxillofacial reconstruction, and in-office anesthesia.
Dr. Han completed his residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Montefiore Medical Center, where he received advanced training in surgery, anesthesia, general medicine, and trauma care. Prior to his residency, he completed a hospital-based OMFS internship at the University of Illinois at Chicago, gaining additional experience in complex oral surgery procedures in an academic hospital setting. He currently serves as an attending physician at Montefiore Medical Center.
Dr. Han earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from the Harvard School of Dental Medicine and received his undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania.
He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and an active member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. His clinical philosophy emphasizes surgical excellence, patient comfort, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Outside of work, Dr. Han enjoys outdoor activities and spending time with his wife and their daughter, Stella.
