Meet Dr. Kristopher Paik
Dr. Paik graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Public Health from the University of Rochester. Wanting to pursue a career in healthcare, he completed a Master’s degree at Wright State University in Human Anatomy and Cellular Biology where he won the prestigious Galen Award for outstanding academic achievement. He then received his DMD from the University Of Pennsylvania School Of Dental Medicine. While at Penn, Paik demonstrated an impressive rigor in the medical and dental arts, present in both his coursework and supplementary research in behavioral neuroscience.
He went on to complete a rigorous Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery residency program at the University of Maryland Medical Center and the world-renowned R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, Maryland. During his training, he completed rotations in general/ambulatory anesthesia, general surgery, and trauma. He served as chief resident in his final year.
Dr. Paik was selected during his chief year to present his research at the American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons, the national meeting for the specialty.
His professional interests include extraction of wisdom and other impacted teeth, pathology, corrective jaw surgery, bone grafting, implants, and head & neck trauma.
